PAUL ROBERTS

In addition to being Of Counsel with Snyder Clark Lesch Chung, Paul Roberts is currently the founder and chair of LES’ Standards Committee on Intangible Assets in the Boardroom. He has been on the Licensing Executives Society board of US-Canada for 15 years, prior to being in lead business negotiation roles as head of IP Strategy at British American Tobacco in London, and at GE Ventures. 

Paul has also led patent operations at two fortune 500 companies (Accenture and MCI/WorldCom); been co-founder of two start-ups as Chief IP Officer and as Chief Patent Counsel; been VP of Patent Commercialization of Rovi’s patent licensing operation; worked at a large multinational law firm; and was also a USPTO Patent Examiner.

He has achieved “fellowship” status with the National Association of Corporate Directors, and completed the Stanford Law (Board) Directors’ College, in addition to being a practicing attorney with a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Maryland.
