John's practice includes preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the computer and electrical arts. He has significant experience in the areas of signal and image processing, video compression, telecommunications, and in various remote sensing applications including radar, and additional relevant experience in the fields of medical devices, electronic hardware, and software.
Before entering law school, John was an Examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office and examined applications in the electrical arts, specifically in video compression.
Before entering the patent field, John worked in the industry as a Research Engineer performing systems analysis and digital signal processing algorithm design for imaging radars and other remote sensing systems. He also worked as an audio systems engineer in the automotive industry.
